Our client, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, needed to show evidence of action taken to improve their communication skills, situational awareness and also navigate difficult conversations.

Unfortunately, a patient had complained about their communication and bedside manner, resulting in a General Medical Council investigation and the request for this valued evidence of personal development. 

With this understanding, EKO carried out a Communicative Effectiveness assessment and debrief, utilising VoicePrint testing tools. This intervention was supported by six EKO coaching sessions held throughout the year. 

With our EKO coaching, our client was able to display evidence of improved communication skills through peer feedback. He also found his situational awareness had increased which also contributed toward achieving the initial objective. 

This is one of our favourite EKO case studies as it shows on a practical level how our simple and stress-free interventions can solve complicated and sensitive issues.
